Thermal Imaging

Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging is a non-invasive diagnostic system to detect problems in the body. Thermal Imaging can also provide information about a patient’s response to treatment. It is the only accurate way to see inflammation in our body.

  • Thermography can detect disease and injury by revealing the thermal abnormalities present in the body.
  • Can assess pain and pathology anywhere on the body and is very helpful in monitoring therapy.
  • No radiation – 100% safe for everyone
  • Non-invasive, no injections
  • Offers privacy – no bodily contact

Clinical thermography is used as an aid for diagnosis and prognosis, as well as monitoring therapy progress, for conditions and injuries, including:

    • Back Injuries
    • Digestive Disorders
    • Breast Disease
    • Arthritis
    • Stroke Screening
    • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
    • Headache
    • Disc Disease
    • Nerve Damage
    • Inflammatory Pain
    • Unexplained Pain
    • Skin Cancer
    • Fibromyalgia
    • Referred Pain Syndrome
    • RSD (CRPS)
    • Sprain/Strain
    • Dental and TMJ
    • Artery Inflammation
    • Whiplash
    • Vascular Disease

Don’t forget that we have some pre-thermal guidelines for you to follow in order to have the best experience possible:

Preparation for your scan is simple but critical to the accuracy of the results. Please be advised failure to follow these simple guidelines will require us to reschedule your appointment and FEES WILL APPLY if we are unable to proceed with your originally scheduled time slot.

BEFORE THE EXAM
*Avoid strong sunlight exposure the day of and sunburn in the days preceding your appointment.
*No massage, chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, physical therapy, infra-red saunas the day of your scan.
*Avoid the application of anti-perspirants, deodorants, creams, liniments, oils, or lotions, including but not limited to perfume and cologne to the area being scanned.
*No smoking for a minimum of 2 hours prior to your scan.
*No vigorous exercise 2 hours prior to your scan.
*Remove all jewelry and earrings.
*Long hair should be worn up.
*It is very important to wear loose fitting clothing. It is recommended no bra be worn at least one hour prior to your scan. The thermography scan will be delayed until irritation marks in the skin caused by tightly fitting garments have dissipated.

AT THE CLINIC
Arrive a few minutes early to your appointment. Your body will take some time to adjust to the temperature of the clinic. After signing in with the receptionist, you will be given a gown to change into as you will be disrobing down to your underwear. Speedo type undergarments or thongs are appropriate for both men and women. You will meet your thermographer who will explain and demonstrate the required views and positions necessary for your scan. Thermal images are then taken of either the whole body or just the regions of interest.

You are welcome to bring a friend, partner or spouse into the imaging room for the scan.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
